Please Submit a Blood Sample at the ASCA National Specialty in Las Vegas , Nevada for the University of Minnesota Canine Epilepsy study Support the research by participating in the ASHGI-sponsored blood draw for Dr. Ned Patterson, University of Minnesota epilepsy study on Wednesday, Nov 12th from 2 PM to 4 PM at the vet clinic. The goal of this project is to develop a DNA screening test for this disease in Australian Shepherds. Together we can get the screening test but more blood is needed from affected dogs. Even if you have already given before - give again! If you have never given blood for the research (affected or unaffected) then please give now! ASHGI and Toby's Foundation are financially supporting this study. Your dog can participate if: Your dog is affected Your dog is an unaffected relative of the affected dog, 2 generations either direction Samples from unaffected unrelated dogs 6 years or older are also needed to serve as controls. If you would like to submit samples on one or more Australian Shepherds at the ASHGI Health Clinic, please download the following forms, complete them and bring them with you to the vet clinic on Wednesday, Nov. 12th from 2 PM to 4 PM: Australian Shepherd Epilepsy Questionnaire Consent form The blood draw will be done at the vet clinic. Updated Toby's Foundation Brochures are Now Available Toby's Foundation has recently updated its brochures.
